Sound of the week - Vol. 1

Three songs. All of them with a history on either the big screen or simply telenovela. Two are classics, one's a pretty new song actually. No need for further talk, listen and enjoy.

Urge Overkill - Girl, you'll be a woman soon

Finley Quaye - Dice [It's not the original video, but it's the best sound quality I could find]

The Pixies - Where is my mind

Lewis Hamilton celebrating his tremendous first Formula One season

The title says it all. Here is Lewis Hamilton, vice FIA Formula One world drivers champion of 2007, celebrating at Brazil after the last race. To be honest, I really would have wanted him to win the title, but I can really live with Kimi Räikkönen as world champion as well. He lost the titles already a couple of times with his lack of luck, but anyway, enjoy the vids:

Soccer bloopers

Finally got again a few minutes time after the breathtaking final of the FIA Formula One championship. Here are some of my favourite soccer or football bloopers, whereever you're from. Enjoy.

And of course fouls and fights.

[German] SAW Verarschung

"Schwule asoziale Wixer" nennt sich das Ganze. Vor allem der erste Teil ist zum Brüllen komisch. Der Zweite ist immer noch lustig, aber seht selbst.

Hier beide Teile:

Tony Blair performs "Should I stay or should I go"

Best thing I ever saw about a politicion.

George Bush's "Bloody Sunday" interpretation

Hilarious. You got to watch it.

Hi Jack!

Give it a go:

[Formula 1] Petition for Fernando Alonso

It's all about this pathetic conspiracy theory.
It's a petition for Fernando Alonso from a spanish fan club. For every race where Fernando couldn't match Lewis' pace they made up an excuse, ending up that Vodafone McLaren Mercedes would have manipulated Fernando's car all through the year so that Lewis could beat him. Of course without naming a single source for their allegations.
G.P. of Barhein (15-04-07) I actually can't even remember when the F1 raced in a state called Barhein. Weird. If they mean the G.P. of Bahrain I first
want to see the source that Fernando's car was damaged that night. If there's a credible source [I think you can understand that spanish newspapers don't count] then I still don't see how Fernando's car could be damaged by a McLaren employee as the cars are all parked in one garage and are watched all through the night.
G.P. of Monaco (27-05-07) Where's the evidence that Lewis disobeyed the team's advice to reduce revs? And btw: I didn't see Lewis crossing thw line a single time. Dunno which race these guys watched.
G.P. of Canada (10-06-07) Lewis was stronger the whole weekend. Besides that Fernando had some offroad moments in the race and didn't watch his tyres. He simply had bad luck with his pitstop in the first safety car phase. That's it.
G.P. of the USA (17-06-07) Why should the pitstop strategy always favour Alonso? This time it was simply Hamilton who was allowed to have a longer stint. The races before it was Fernando. So who cares except some spanish bastards? ^^
G.P. of France (01-07-07) A simple technical problem. It's no big deal.
G.P. of Germany (22-07-07) Seems like these guys that made up this crap don't know the rules and ignore the facts. Lifting a car out of the gravel with a crane wasn't forbidden at all. It was forbidden right after the G.P of Germany. And Lewis just was the only one smart enough to keep the engine running. All others already got out of their cars.
G.P. of Hungary (05-08-07) Fernando wasn't given used tyres. They were new. Erm... For what should Lewis be sanctioned? He didn't set a foot wrong all the weekend.
G.P. of Italy (09-09-07) Where's the problem there? He was correctly on his starting box. And I couldn't see any wild moves from him on the run to the first corner.
G.P. of Belgium (16-09-07) Where's the proof for this tale?
G.P. of Japan (30-07-07) First of all, Robert Kubica had no chance to overtake Lewis at that point. He simply braked too late and turned Hamilton's car
around. But Alonso and Vettel were on the same hight. Fernando just opened up the brakes and pulled into the corner as if there was no other car. This was stated by Vettel and could bee seen on the TV coverage. Considering the Vettel-Webber collision: Lewis complained on the radio the whole safety car phase over that Webber didn't keep enough distance. Fact. Vettel stated after the race on 'RTL' that he was looking across the track at Hamilton and not at the car in front of him. That's why they crashed.
G.P. of China (06-10-07) I want to see a proof. Not just a statement of Fernando himself. Even his former team director Pat Symmonds at Renault said just recently that Fernando is not able to cope with beeing beaten by another driver. He'd do anything to get the upper hand back.
